Koh Samui (or Samui Island) Situated just 28 kms from the mainland of Suratthani province, in the gulf of Thailand, she is renowned as one of the spectacular islands in South East Asia. The island covers 248 sq.kms., naturally decorated with thousands of coconut trees, white sands and surrounded by indigo sea. Travelling to Koh Samui is a breeze. Less-than-two-hour direct flights to and from Bangkok-Samui are available over 10 flights daily. An economical way can also be done as flying from Bangkok to Suratthani city and hopping on a coach to Koh Samui. An overnight travelling by train and bus are other alternatives as your destination is not the island, but the ferry Pier from Suratthani to Koh Samui, departing all day long. Show Map. |
