Germany Hotels and Resorts - As Europe's largest economy and most populous nation, Germany remains a key member of the continent's economic, political, and defense organizations. European power struggles immersed Germany in two devastating World Wars in the first half of the 20th century and left the country occupied by the victorious Allied powers of the US, UK, France, and the Soviet Union in 1945. With the advent of the Cold War, two German states were formed in 1949: the western Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) and the eastern German Democratic Republic (GDR). The democratic FRG embedded itself in key Western economic and security organizations, the EC, which became the EU, and NATO, while the Communist GDR was on the front line of the Soviet-led Warsaw Pact. The decline of the USSR and the end of the Cold War allowed for German unification in 1990. Since then, Germany has expended considerable funds to bring Eastern productivity and wages up to Western standards. In January 1999, Germany and 10 other EU countries introduced a common European exchange currency, the euro.

ACCOMMODATION: As the hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. All 50 rooms, 27m² each, are furnished italian style and equipped with minibar, safe, ISDN-, PC-, Fax- and modem-connections, hairdryer and blackout-shades. Of course coffee-, teamaker, ironing-board and allergic pillows are available upon request. Three out of five floors are reserved for our non-smoking guests. If you want to have more space then you should book one of our deluxe rooms: 40m² with a separate sleeping and living area, fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom separated toilet. HOTEL FACILITIES & SERVICES: Enjoy our breakfast buffet from 6.30 to 10.30am with coffee, tea, chocolate, rich choice of juices, bread, cakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, cheese, jam, muesli and fruits. The conference room of 1076 sq ft can be separated into two rooms and is therefore suitable for either 35 or 15 participants. Each room is equipped with a screen and blackout-shades. TV with large scale screen, VCR, overhead, pinboards and flipcharts are free of charge, other kind of technical equipment can be ordered. Our conference package is including the conference room, the above mentioned technical equipment and a two-course lunch. For your coffeebreaks you can choose between prezeln with butter, sausage or cheese, fruits, joghurt, sweet rolls, biscuits, icecream, powerdrinks,etc.
