Germany Hotels and Resorts - As Europe's largest economy and most populous nation, Germany remains a key member of the continent's economic, political, and defense organizations. European power struggles immersed Germany in two devastating World Wars in the first half of the 20th century and left the country occupied by the victorious Allied powers of the US, UK, France, and the Soviet Union in 1945. With the advent of the Cold War, two German states were formed in 1949: the western Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) and the eastern German Democratic Republic (GDR). The democratic FRG embedded itself in key Western economic and security organizations, the EC, which became the EU, and NATO, while the Communist GDR was on the front line of the Soviet-led Warsaw Pact. The decline of the USSR and the end of the Cold War allowed for German unification in 1990. Since then, Germany has expended considerable funds to bring Eastern productivity and wages up to Western standards. In January 1999, Germany and 10 other EU countries introduced a common European exchange currency, the euro.

Our 3-star hotel is located near one of Hamburgs most colourful and exciting spots. Within just 15 walking minutes you can reach the two musicals "Tanz der Vampire" and "Mamma Mia". The broadway musical hit "Lion King" can be reached from the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken in 15 minutes also. ACCOMMODATION: Compared to others we are a relatively small Hotel with 18 rooms (2 single rooms, 12 double rooms and 4 triple rooms). Within our abbilities we will try to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. All of our rooms are equipped with a shower, toilet, and colour TV. Our breakfast buffet will give you a healthy start for the day and is included in our room rates.   HOTEL FACILITIES & SERVICES: IF you need some recreation or if you just want to go on with your routine exercise - our pool area is open daily from 6:00 am til 8:00 pm. The use of this area is included in our room rate. Our sauna and our tanning bed is available for a small fee. Our breakfast buffet is available from 7:00 am till 10:00 am in our Restaurant. For lunch or dinner our new restaurant "Cottage Maya" would be happy to welcome you. The menu offers a large variety of salads, pasta and mediterranen specialties and steaks. Come in and dine with us or join uns for a glass of beer or wine. Depending on the weather you can enjoy our services outside.
